  JW as a secret society - a weak link in the Information Age.

  in the late 1990s there was magazine article that asked the question, are jws a secret society?

  obviously they said no, because they claim to be transparent to outsiders and new members.

  but they really are not transparent at all.

  Recent mistakes of the Governing Body contributing to the decline of JWs

  they have made so many strategical mistakes it's hard to keep track.

  some changes within the last decade or so that are contributing to declining numbers of jws:.

  1. elimination of book study groups, the most informal, enjoyable and sociable of the jw meetings, contributed to loss of sense of community among jws.. 2. policy of consolidating kingdom halls.

  I think using the internet was a big mistake. To have to go online to get your 'spiritual food' is so dangerous because of how much negative exposure there is out there.

  The societies voice is only one among the crowds of people who are out to expose them for what they are. Easy pickings.

  terri o'sullivan was interviewed by croydon radio for a programme called "leap of faith", it was broadcast on sunday.. she does a great job of showing how wacky and weird the jw beliefs and practices are, the interviewer asks perceptive questions, either he was well briefed by terri or he is an ex jw !.

  she also gives info.

  on her meetup group for xjw's, great fun !.

  this is my current bottom-line conclusion after starting to see through the jw game 3 to 4 years ago and going through my own process of waking up.

  it helps to write it down and put it "out there".

  i hope it helps or resonates with you in your own personal process.. basically if i were given 10 seconds to say something to an active jehovah's witness that i cared about it would be the headline above.

  Even this wouldn't prove the supernatural being was who they claimed to be. If it claimed to be the god of the bible, how would anyone know it was not Zeus playing a trick? Without omniscience no one can know for sure what any supernatural being truely is. That's if it wasn't just the result of being in a computer simulation...

  Terri O'Sullivan. What an amazing person.

  Courteous, kind, thoughtful, very intelligent, attractive, bright, competent, stylish,(does she still do modelling?) sociable, approachable, witty and amazing fun to be around.

  God bless her and the help she extends to others. A true star.

  Look forward to hearing her interview later.

  now the majority of people nowadays do no go by the hope of old times.

  now the reason for this is important and goes beyond mere words.

  our culture sees ethics especially national or civil politics as the rules and standards by which we guide ourselves.

  i remember sitting on my daddy's lap and driving an imaginary car, i also remember sitting on my mummies lap on the front seat, without a seat belt whilst my dad drove a real car.

  i remember we bought fish and chips from the chippy wrapped in yesterday's newspapers.

  i remember bouncing up and down on my space hopper in the garden.

  I think it's important to confront issues like the flood, considering how many people believe it's true. Though I will add that it is all too easy to disprove such a myth and subsequently rather tedious.

  The information that Perry put up sounds very convincing only if you don't know the facts and are ignorant to the sequence of how life developed on Earth.

  The claim that there has been water over many continents, which somehow proves the Flood, sounds very impressive. This is until you realise that it's no different to today, with the Indian Ocean flowing into the Pacific Ocean flowing into the Atlantic Ocean.

  It was the same many millions of years ago. The only difference is that the land mass on Earth was predominantly in the Southern Hemisphere and the Seas were predominantly in the Northern Hemisphere. All that's happened since is the location of the Seas have altered due to the movement of tectonic plates.

  Enigma's video is fantastic. The factual evidence of where the fossils are in relation to Earth's strata is overwhelming evidence that the flood never happened. I laughed out loud at the point about the drowning chicken.

  The only point to add to the information in the video is that if the marine fossils found in the Himalayas were evidence of Noachian flood waters, then it would stand to reason that the fossils mentioned in the video would lie underneath the evidence of the sea life that would have resulted from such a cataclysm. The huge problem with that claim is the fact that many of the marine animals found in the Himalayas were extinct many millions of years even before the dinosaurs existed.

  So the absence of mammalian life buried beneath this layer of marine sediment found in the Himalayas proves beyond reasonable doubt that it was nothing to do with a biblical flood.
